Windsor Competitive Dance Company
The Windsor Competitive Dance Company (WCDC) offers advanced competitive and performance opportunities for young dancers who are passionate about growth, artistry, and teamwork.
Each season, dancers are selected through an annual audition process, forming a company of approximately 40 dedicated performers ranging in age from 6 to 18.
Training Partnership
WCDC partners with Edmunds Towers School of Dance as its training home, where company members receive their technical dance education in a structured and supportive environment.
Dancers are required to participate in core training disciplines each season, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, leaps and turns, and conditioning. This well-rounded training supports strong technique, performance readiness, and long-term dancer development.
In addition to technique classes, WCDC dancers take part in scheduled choreography rehearsals and weekend practices focused on preparing for competitions, performances, and community appearances. Dancers also have access to optional supplementary classes such as lyrical, hip hop, additional leaps and turns, and extended ballet and tap training to further refine their skills.
Performance & Enrichment
WCDC dancers benefit from a variety of enrichment opportunities, including conventions, workshops, and master classes led by nationally and internationally recognized guest choreographers.
Each season, the company travels throughout Canada and the United States to perform at regional and national competitions, as well as at local community and charitable events across Kent and Essex counties. These experiences have earned the company numerous high-score awards, scholarships, and national recognition.

Windsor Competitive Dance Company operates independently and partners with Edmunds Towers School of Dance as its training facility.

Auditions for the Windsor Competitive Dance Company are held in a positive and friendly environment at Edmunds Towers School of Dance during the month of June.

All of their hard work and dedication last year proved incredibly rewarding, as the team earned numerous awards and recognitions for their outstanding performances and artistry.
This season, the Company is training over 15 hours each week, preparing for another exciting year of competition. These dancers are a group of bright, committed individuals who continually demonstrate balance, perseverance, and passion as they juggle school, dance, and family life.
