Twinkle Bright Program: “Come Shine With Us”
Our Twinkle Bright Program at Edmunds Towers is an exciting first step into the world of dance. Your little one will soon discover that dance is full of joy, laughter and fun. Our friendly faculty and our mascot “Twinkle The Elephant” would love to welcome you and your little one into one of our Twinkle Bright Programs. Twinkle Babies: 0-6 months (Recommended)
Do you know someone on maternity leave that wants to join a fun supportive community. Well we have the perfect class for you. This 30 minute class is for caregivers and babies that are 0-6 months old but older babies are welcome to join in. This class is designed to create great community while providing dance moves to connect with your baby. We have a fun upbeat playlist of music to get you dancing and laughing while snuggling with your little one. No experience is needed, we just need you and you baby. Twinkle Toddlers “Come Dance With Me”: Ages 18 months to 2+
A special bonding experience awaits you. “Come Dance With Me” is designed so you can spend quality time with your little one while sparking your child’s imagination. Together, we’ll bring stories to life through dance, incorporating whimsical props, colourful visuals, and playful activities. Our teachers create a nurturing environment for children to develop their coordination and musicality while having fun with their grownup. Moms, dads, or caregivers are welcome. You will both love this class! Caregiver and tiny dancer can wear something comfortable to class along with clean inside shoes. To register for this program, please click here.
Twinkle Tots: Age 3
Giggles and smiles is what your little dancer will be doing during these 45-minute combination dance classes, We will introduce your dancer to pre-ballet and tap in a friendly and positive atmosphere. The Twinkle Tots classes begin with a fun introductory song to welcome everyone to class then throughout the year they will be introduced to basic ballet steps, fun floor stretches, ballet walks and skips. The second half of the class focuses on learning basic tap steps and song/dance routines. These classes are under the direction of an Early Childhood Education graduate.
Twinkle Tykes: Age 4
This 45-minute combination dance class is a continuation of our Twinkle Tots program. Dancers will be introduced to basic ballet barre exercises and tap while increasing their coordination skills, rhythm, and basic terminology. Students will complete primary I ballet and grade 1 tap by the end of Twinkle Tykes.
Twinkle Minis: Ages 5-6
Twinkle Minis are now ready to graduate to a 45-minute ballet class and a 45-minute tap class. They will continue with our syllabus program; Twinkle Minis will start primary II ballet and grade 2 tap. This is an exciting year for them! They can also add jazz and hip hop to their lineup of classes.
Shining Stars: Ages 6-8
Our Shining Stars is our final Twinkle Bright Program. This age group will move to primary III ballet and continue with grade 2 tap. They are encouraged to continue with our ballet and tap syllabus but at any time, they can add jazz and hip hop on to their class curriculum.
**All ages in the above programs are an approximate age for each group. All dancers are evaluated as to what program suits them best**
Special Twinkle Bright Events and Activities
Your child’s imagination is enhanced throughout the year with the use of many props such as butterfly wings, crowns, parasols and musical instruments. We also celebrate special theme days in our Twinkle Bright programs; Halloween, Prince and Princess Day, Christmas, Under The Sea and Safari are just a few of our themes. The most exciting Twinkle Bright events are our parent viewing days, when you have the chance to observe your child’s love of dance and of course take a lot pictures.
The final, spectacular event is our annual dance show where your little dancer will perform on stage in beautiful costumes, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
