For over 45 years, Edmunds Towers School of Dance has been a proud part of the Windsor community.
Where little dancers begin their magical journey into the world of dance. Twinkle Tot classes introduce young children to ballet and tap through music, imagination, and playful movement in a warm and encouraging environment. With the guidance of our friendly teachers and our mascot Twinkle the Elephant, dancers begin building confidence, coordination, and a love of dance.
Giggles and smiles are what your little dancer will experience in these 45-minute ballet and tap combination classes. Dancers are introduced to pre-ballet and tap in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere as they begin participating in class on their own.
Classes start with a welcoming song before dancers explore basic ballet steps, simple stretches, ballet walks, and skips. The second half of the class introduces basic tap rhythms and short dance combinations. Through music, movement, and imaginative activities, dancers develop coordination, balance, listening skills, and body awareness while becoming comfortable in the dance studio.
Classes are taught under the direction of an Early Childhood Education graduate, creating a warm and supportive environment for young dancers.
Your child’s imagination is sparked throughout the year with fun props such as butterfly wings, ribbons, and musical instruments. We also celebrate special theme days in our Twinkle Bright classes, including Halloween, Winter, Under the Sea, and Safari, just to name a few.
One of the most exciting moments for families is our Parent Viewing Days, when you’ll have the chance to watch your child’s growing love of dance and, of course, take lots of pictures.
The grand finale of the season is our annual dance show, where your little dancer will perform on stage in beautiful costumes, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
